Target Audience

As part of the EBRD's EU-funded Innovation Programme, IfM Engage Ltd. (knowledge transfer company of Cambridge University’s Institute for Manufacturing) will train Lebanese consultants, for the delivery of the Strategic Compass methodology to small and medium businesses (SMEs) and start-ups in Lebanon.

The EBRD is looking to engage high calibre senior professionals, with deep knowledge and experience across businesses of all sizes and sectors (traditional SMEs and technology start-ups). The consultants will possess strong facilitation skills and will work collaboratively with client companies.

Up to 12 local consultants will be selected to participate in the online training.

Objectives

The training is designed to equip consultants with the proprietary IfM Strategic Compass methodology, to support SMEs and start-ups in Lebanon.

Following the training, 4 of the consultants will be selected to undertake a complementary Strategic Compass Apprenticeship programme in the fall of 2025, and upon completion, licensed to use the methodology.

The consultants will be onboarded, to work jointly with IfM Engage and the EBRD, and periodically deliver Strategic Compass workshops to companies, under a contract with the EBRD.

Modalities

The training will be conducted online via Zoom and will consist of 10 interactive sessions of 2 hours each, delivered over 4 days, and combining taught lessons and practical exercises.

The programme requires significant time commitment, and participants must commit to attend all 10 training sessions.

Consultants should also be prepared to dedicate time with the EBRD annually, as 4 participants will be onboarded in the fall of 2025 to undertake a Strategic Compass Apprenticeship programme and periodically support SMEs and start-ups using the Cambridge IfM Strategic Compass methodology, under a contract with the EBRD.

This interactive training is free of charge, however places are limited, and participants will be selected competitively based on the relevance of their profiles.
